BUILD STRENGTH.
FIND CONFIDENCE.
TRUST YOURSELF.
LIVE BIGGER.
Personalized coaching that combines nutrition, movement, and nervous-system work to help you build sustainable habits and create a life you don't want to sit on the sidelines of.
Maybe this feels familiar...
You start every week with good intentions, telling yourself that this time will be different. But by Thursday, you're exhausted and already telling yourself you'll do better Monday.
You know what you're supposed to do. You may even know more about nutrition than most people. But somehow, staying consistent still feels hard, and you're tired of wondering why it seems so much easier for everyone else.
Maybe you've tried every diet and promised yourself this time would be different, only to end up feeling like you failed again.
I don't believe you failed.
I think you've been given plans that focused on what to do without helping you understand why it was so hard to keep going.
You don't need another plan. You need a different way forward.
That's what The Adventure Method is about: combining nutrition, movement, and Brainspotting to help you build habits that work with your life—not against it.
Adventure means something different for every woman.
For some, adventure means backpacking through the mountains. For others, it might mean saying yes to the trip they've been putting off, keeping up with their kids, feeling confident in their body, starting over after a difficult season, or running their first race.
Sometimes, adventure is simply trusting yourself again.
Whatever your adventure looks like, my job is to help you build the strength, confidence, and self-trust to say yes to what matters most to you.
We don't subtract. We add.
Instead of taking away the foods you enjoy or giving you another list of rules to follow, we look at what's missing and build from there.
Protein. Fiber. Fats. Movement. Sleep. Recovery. Self-trust.
One habit at a time. No perfection. No shame. Just sustainable progress.
Three pieces. One approach.
NOURISH
Build a foundation of nutrition that supports your body, your energy, and the life you want to live.
MOVE
Build strength and movement that makes you feel capable, confident, and ready for whatever comes next.
REWIRE
Use coaching and Brainspotting to explore the beliefs, patterns, and nervous-system responses that can make change difficult to sustain.
MEET KIM
I'm Kim, and for over 17 years I've helped women build healthier relationships with food, movement, and themselves. I've been a personal trainer, nutrition coach, Brainspotting practitioner, backpacker, and endurance athlete—and, most importantly, I'm someone who's spent plenty of years trying to "get it right" too.
Today, I help women stop starting over and build sustainable habits that support the life they actually want to live.
Because confidence isn't something you earn after you change.
It's something you build while you do.

What women are saying
I have struggled with body image issues, food socialization issues, and weight my whole life. At my heaviest, I was a size 16 as a high school junior. I had tried everything and had some success with popular programs counting points or drinking shakes. But then I met Kim. She taught me about real food, how to feed my body, how to move my body so it made sense, but most of all she changed my mind. I don't know where I would be without Kim. Today, I am an active mom of two, a distance runner, weightlifter, and real food eater. Listen to Kim, she knows what she's talking about.

Before We Begin/FAQ
How do I know if this program is right for me?
If you're tired of starting over, overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice, or feel like you know what to do but struggle to consistently do it, you're exactly who I created this program for. Whether your goal is feeling stronger, improving your health, preparing for an adventure, or finally finding peace with food, we'll create an approach that's personalized to you.
Do I need to be outdoorsy to work with you?
Not at all.Adventure means something different for every woman. For some, it's hiking a mountain. For others, it's keeping up with their kids, traveling confidently, running their first race, or simply feeling at home in their own body again. The Adventure Method isn't just about becoming a backpacker—it's about building a body and mindset that allow you to fully participate in your life.
What if I don't want to lose weight?
That's perfectly okay. Some women come to me wanting to improve body composition, while others simply want more energy, better performance, healthier habits, improved confidence, or a more peaceful relationship with food. Our work is always centered around your goals—not someone else's definition of success.
Is this a weight loss program?
Weight loss is not always beneficial.Fat loss can be a by product of filling in the nutritional gaps and addressing timing, stress, sleep and other factors. Body composition sometimes shifts as a result of finding enjoyable and sustainable movement that alleviates stress and brings a sense of purpose and joy. So, no, it’s not a weight loss program as that could be counterproductive to someone’s end goals. Supporting your body can bring greater confidence, peace, and happiness.
What if I am on a glp1?
GLP1s can be used for many different reasons and I support doing what is best for your health.Establishing supportive habits and shifts in tandem with a GLP1 can support the shifts and changes to make them more sustainable than just using medication alone.
What qualifies you to work with women in this way?
Great question.I was a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and ISSA Certified Nutrition Specialist when I started training. I worked as a Coach both in the gym and online from 2009-2021. I currently am a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner and Consultant and have been since 2020. I have over 17 year of coaching experience as well as over 20 years of personal experience with movement, nutrition, and mindset which gives me great confidence in my ability to support those I work with.I am currently working on renewing my ISSA Nutrition Coaching Certification.
Nutrition
Will I have to count calories or macros?
Not necessarily. Some clients enjoy tracking because it provides valuable information, while others find it stressful or unnecessary. We may use food logging as a temporary tool to identify nutritional gaps, but the goal is never to have you tracking forever. The goal is to build awareness, confidence, and habits that eventually become second nature.
Will I have to give up my favorite foods?
No.One of the core principles of The Adventure Method is "We don't subtract—we add."Rather than creating long lists of foods you can't eat, we focus on adding what your body needs first. As your nutrition becomes more balanced, many food choices begin to shift naturally rather than through willpower.
Do you provide meal plans?
No.Instead of handing you a rigid meal plan that only works while you're following it, I teach you how to make confident food decisions in your real life.My goal is to help you build skills that last long after our coaching ends.
Brainspotting
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a focused, brain-body (somatic) approach that can help people process experiences, emotions, and patterns that may be contributing to feeling stuck. Many clients find it helps them access thoughts and reactions that traditional coaching alone doesn't always reach. When appropriate, we integrate Brainspotting into your coaching to support lasting change around food, movement, body image, confidence, and other personal goals. You can learn more about Brainspotting here.
Do I have to do Brainspotting?
No. While Brainspotting is a powerful tool, it's never required. We'll decide together what level of nervous system work feels supportive for you. That said, I highly encourage you to learn more about it and the amazing benefits of somatic work.
Coaching
How much time will this take each week?
Most clients are surprised by how manageable the process feels.Rather than trying to overhaul your entire lifestyle overnight, we'll focus on one or two meaningful changes at a time. Small, consistent actions create the biggest long-term results.
"Will six months solve everything?"
Probably not—and that's okay. The goal of The Adventure Method isn't perfection. It's building the knowledge, habits, and self-trust that create lasting change. Many women experience meaningful shifts within six months, while others choose to continue coaching as they deepen the work. Lasting change isn't about rushing the process—it's about building a foundation you can rely on for years to come. Together, we create markers of success and make sure that we are always moving toward those (as long as they feel supportive of your journey).
I've tried everything. Why would this be different?
Because this program doesn't rely on motivation, discipline, or willpower- which most programs do.Most programs focus only on modifying food and exercise. The Adventure Method also addresses the habits, beliefs, and nervous system patterns that influence your daily choices, not just mindset shifts (although we have those too). We also use high touch support and personalization to help you move toward your markers of success. When we address the foundation, lasting change becomes much more possible.
Logistics
Do you work virtually?
Yes! All coaching sessions are held virtually, allowing you to participate from anywhere. I also have limited availability to meet in-person in my Happy Valley, Oregon office.
Can I work with you if I already have a therapist or dietitian?
Absolutely. Many of my clients work with other healthcare professionals, and my coaching is designed to complement—not replace—the care you're already receiving. If helpful and with your permission, I'm happy to collaborate as part of your support team.
What happens after my program ends?
My hope is that you leave coaching feeling equipped with the tools, confidence, and habits to continue on your own. You will have a wealth of resources and tools to pull from as you move forward. If you'd like ongoing support, we'll discuss the next step that makes the most sense for your goals- whether that's continuing coaching or joining a future group program.
What does "Adventure" mean?
Adventure isn't a destination—it's a way of living. For one woman, adventure might mean hiking her first mountain. For another, it might mean saying yes to a family vacation without worrying about her body, training for a 5K, playing on the floor with her grandchildren, or simply trusting herself around food for the first time in years. The Adventure Method is about helping you build the strength, confidence, and self-trust to pursue whatever adventure matters most to you.
Are you in-network with insurance providers?
At this time, I am not able to bill insurance providers or accept HSA payments. I am happy to provide a Super Bill for your insurance as a possible out of network provider- however, most virtual coaching is not provided for under insurance at this time.
