About Kim

My growth journey began in 2004, when I lost my mom to cancer at the age of 19. She was 44.

As an only child, and with my dad no longer in the picture, I found myself navigating grief, responsibility, and life after loss on my own.

That experience became the foundation of my path into healing, resilience, and deep inner work.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve continued to explore my own lived experience with ADHD, an eating disorder, anxiety, marriage and parenting challenges, and faith deconstruction and reconstruction.

Healing has not been a one-time event for me—it has been a lifelong practice of staying with myself, learning, unlearning, and continuing to grow.

I also work with my own Brainspotting therapist regularly as part of my ongoing commitment to expansion, regulation, and self-awareness.

Authenticity, vulnerability, and integrity are core values in both my life and my work.

I believe that when we normalize struggle, we reduce shame—and create more space for people to seek support, healing, and change.

I also speak openly about my own journey on Instagram, where I share about mental health, personal growth, and the realities of doing deep inner work.

My professional path began in 2009 as a personal trainer and nutrition coach.

After a decade in that field, I began shifting my focus toward deeper transformational work and integrated Brainspotting into my coaching practice.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from all over the world who are seeking meaningful, lasting change.

I discovered Brainspotting in 2018, and it has profoundly shaped both my work and my understanding of healing.

My work is deeply informed by lived experience with trauma, grief, and loss, and I feel honored to support others in these spaces.

I also facilitate personal development retreats for women, which have taken place in Nashville, Sedona, and Central Oregon.

I live just outside Portland, Oregon with my husband Tim, who is a counselor working with individuals and couples in Oregon and Washington, our two children, Louis and Lucy, and our very energetic cat, Bananas.

Outside of my work, I feel most at home in nature—hiking, backpacking, trail running, paddle boarding, and exploring with my family.

I also love being in the kitchen cooking and baking (with varying levels of success), and I’m currently in an ongoing relationship with sourdough.
